February newsletter

We’re looking forward to our winter carnival this Saturday, full of awesome activities, plus our ski jumping tournament from 12-3pm, a visit from Kindled Sauna from 2-9pm, and our Candlelight Ski from 6-8pm! Please note that the ski jumping tournament times may change due to weather, so stay tuned to social media and email.

Kindled Community Sauna is popping up at Blackhawk from 2-9pm Saturday, 2/14.  Kindled Community Sauna is a mobile, wood-fired sauna experience centered just west of Madison.  It is born from a dream of spreading sauna culture, leading people toward wellness and toward connection with others. Blackhawk in the Community

The Olympics brings a new level of excitement and buzz around winter sports, and Blackhawk has been highlighted twice recently.

We were featured in the "Bucky-lympics" at the UW Badgers Men's Hockey game.

We were featured on WMTV15 (NBC 15) to highlight our connection to Olympic sports! see the video clips here: https://www.wmtv15news.com/2026/02/09/blackhawk-ski-club-celebrates-winter-olympic-ties-games-continue/

Biathlon Update

Biathlon is keeping its momentum rolling! This weekend, Ariens will host the Master's championship biathlon events and races for 16+ athletes. We are very excited to see everyone compete.

Our January weekend races were a very cold success. We amended the formats and did relays, as well as individual races. Thanks to everyone who helped out and came out to race. Saturday results. Sunday results.

It's never too late to try biathlon out for the first time. Our March 1 race will have availability for novice racers to try it out, with no previous experience. Sign up here: https://www.webscorer.com/register?raceid=413279

For any questions about the biathlon program, please reach out to Josh at joshua.wilson.215@gmail.com. Adults who want to try biathlon can reach out to Ian Olson at ianolson@gmail.com
