- Senior Race Team
Develop higher level shooting and skiing skills. Train year around, including high performance camps. Attend Midwest races, with the possibility of attending the Youth and Junior Nationals and Senior Nationals
Adult biathlon participants are expected to have their own skis, rifle, and ammunition. Adults must take the two-part rifle safety certification course offered by the USBA and become a Blackhawk Ski Club member to participate in any practice at Blackhawk. - General Program Information
- Registration for the 2024-2025 season opens September 10, 2024 (for returning club members) and September 24, 2024 (for new club members). - Requirements
- Skiers must have a Limited Access Membership or Full Access Membership in Blackhawk Ski Club before registering for the HS or MS program. - A USBA membership and Basic Rifle Safety Course, both online and in person portions, are required to participate in practices or races at BlackHawk. - https://www.teamusa.org/us-biathlon/membership/join-usba-online 
 
- Equipment
- We rental skis and poles only, you must have your own boots. Boots can be purchased through Out There Nordic (our equipment partner) or other retailers. New for 2024/2025 - we have a Buy/Sell/Trade group on our SportsYou. 
- "A" Skis (new or slightly used equipment): $100 for Skate / $100 for Classic. 
- "B" Skis (equipment that is a few years old): $50 for Skate / $50 for Classic. 
- Rollerskis and Poles (HS only): $30 for Skate (no classic rentals). The Rollerski rental fee is new for 2024/2025 as we need to start accumulating funds to replace older rental equipment. 
 
- Coaches
- Our coaches are experienced and USBA certified. Their goal is to make biathlon a safe, fun experience while building self confidence and athletic skills in our biathletes. 
- Schedule
- Practices will begin the week of June 15th and end the week of August 10th. - Senior Race Team - Tuesday evenings 5:30 - 7:00 pm 
- Junior Race Team - Thursday evenings 5:30 - 7:00 pm 
- Developmental Race Team - Thursday evenings 5:30 - 6:30 
 - Summer fees are $125 for junior and seniors, $100 for the Developmental Race Team. Fees include coaching, ammunition and use of club rifles.
